The fishing is slowly improving from the past couple of weeks. Some floaters have fish and you still are finding the birds that also have fish on them. The problem is the action is spread out. We have been finding legal fish though. and that is a big change from two weeks of hard fishing. On the edge you are able to pick up Bonito, and a Sailfish and Kingfish now and then. THe really good news is the seas are flat. Kids are able to enjoy the day without any sea sickness problems.

I believe the fishing should pick up as the weeks progress.

Sailfishing did slow down over the weekend with the calm seas, but that could change at anytime.

Fishing our pro team this past weekend we took the daily the first day and finished the series in 2nd place with 33 sailfish in two days. Yes 33. LOL. It is hard to believe but it was crazy. We had doubles, triples and quads. And all caught on 20 pound line on the kite. We had some fish that had to go 80 plus, and fought some for an hour. I am really proud of our team, to fish against the best every tournament and miss the number one spot after 5 tournaments by 4 fish is a job well done.I hope anybody reading this and that wants to go fishing understands how hard that is to do and that the desire to be the best day in and day out is what kind of crew you will be trusting your day to. ON the cutting edge or the Get Lit (our pro team) we bust our butts to make sure you have a great time.

In the afternoon we had 5 sailfish out of 8 bites, and more bonito and some kings.

The fish were all caught on Live bait suspended from the kite. Cutting edge was fishing off Miami Beach in the afternoon and south of fowey in the morning.

Well, as Cap and I headed to Key West to fish the World Sailfish Championship and defend our title, unsuccessfully i might add. Damn. Mike took the wheel of the Cutting Edge to try and up hold the reputation of the Cutting Edge, and i have to say he did a great job, many thanks from customers he guided and pictures to proof it. Most of the action came from Sailfish, dolphin, and black fin tuna. He had a big day on Thursday with 15 Sailfish, (he must have listened to the things we told him right?) he also had some Black fins. The rest of the week was in the 4 to 5 sailfish a day area. All the action came on the kites with live threadfins and sardines. The black fin are in the 15 to 20 pound range and the dolphin are around 10 pounds. We are back and in action again today. Stay tuned
